IT - Telecommunications Specialist (May 18, 2006)

Hours: Full–Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Function:

To provide voice communication, voice mail support and programming of voice switch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain telecommunications equipment
Knowledge of Oracle a plus
Familiar with Bell System wiring standards, cable installation methods, basic telephony principles, voice equipment, installations, repair and maintenance, problem solving methods and telephone switch equipment
Provide various reports, determine methodology for installing telephone service, and determine appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications

Necessary Qualifications: (education, experience and skills required to perform job)

• 2-5 years experience dealing directly with voice communications circuit installs, problem analysis, switch programming including line adds, changes and deletes
• Experience or Certification in Avaya (Lucent)or equivalent systems: Difinity G3 R Switch, Intuity, ConversantSystem, AUDIX, CenterVu, Partner System
• Good Oral and Written communication skills
• Problem analysis and logical thinking skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities
• Possess active listening skills
